The performer removes some pocket change and gives it to a participant. While the performer is looking away, the participant is asked to remove any coin and hide away the unselected coins.

Once done, and while the performer is still looking away, the participant is also asked to memorise the date on the coin, then to hide that coin away.

Turning back around, the performer is able to tell the participant the exact value of the coin chosen and the precise date on that coin.

The dates on the unselected coins (still in the participant’s possession) can instantly be checked and found to be completely different.
