The performer takes out his phone and shows an image. It contains ten short film reviews:
The participant thinks of a number and memorises the movie’s review, film and rating score.
Without the participant saying a single word, the performer can tell the participant what film is being thought of.
That’s the quick version.
Suppose you want to make more of a performance piece of this. In that case, a presentation is provided where the participant is guided to an imaginary cinema, takes a seat, and the performer can reveal their thoughts and feelings about the film the participant chose to watch.
More than one film can be chosen, making this great for use with two people thinking of different movies simultaneously.

Paul’s ‘In Review’ is a self-contained movie-themed update of his own ‘Thought Reader Card’ effect that refines and resolves a few niggling issues with the OG piece and adds a nice presentational framework to it.
In addition to the printed card used for the trick he also includes an on screen version that you can download to your phone so you don’t have ANYTHING else to carry.
It’s a fun little piece that will fit neatly into a lot of people’s close-up sets, and if you already perform any movie themed mentalism it’s a NO-BRAINER.

‘In Review’ will happily sit in your wallet and whilst it isn’t self-working, anyone with a little performance experience can easily wring a lot from it.
The method might at first appear obvious, but if I’m honest I didn’t instantly see the method so I know a layperson won’t see it either.
Yet again clever thinking from Paul in another of these “why didn’t I come up with this?” products – SIMPLE, DIRECT, FOOLING with an effect that can be short and sweet or longer and more psychologically in involving.
